Embracing the EOS Framework: A Journey Towards Intentional Culture at Inflection Point
On 27th September, I had the opportunity to attend the We Run On EOS conference in London, where the vibrant atmosphere was charged with excitement and energy. It was inspiring to connect with fellow business leaders and hear from expert speakers on how to leverage the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) for better organisational efficiency. Two standout presentations that resonated with me were delivered by Julia Langkraehr and Alice Jordan, both EOS Implementers with invaluable insights into building a thriving company culture.
The Importance of Intentional Culture
Julia Langkraehr’s session, titled “Dare to Build an Intentional Culture,” struck a chord with me. One key takeaway was the critical importance of having our Vision/Traction Organiser (V/TO) not only completed but also internalised by our team. This ensures that our vision permeates every aspect of our operations and is a consistent focus during our Level 10 meetings.
Equally important is the intentionality behind our company culture. At Inflection Point, we are committed to fostering a culture rooted in love and abundance rather than fear and scarcity. Emphasising positivity, collaboration, and long-term thinking will allow us to create an environment where our team can thrive. By actively promoting values that encourage optimism, gratitude, and self-worth, we will enhance both our internal dynamics and our client relationships.
Operationalising Our Culture
To ensure that we live and breathe our values and core focus, we are taking actionable steps, including publishing our company values, establishing a clear core focus, and outlining our three-year picture and ten-year target. Our robust marketing strategy and comprehensive one-year plan, which includes revenue and margin targets, will keep us aligned with our long-term vision.
Moreover, we have introduced quarterly rocks to help us achieve our yearly goals and maintain an issue list to identify, discuss, and resolve any obstacles that arise. This structured approach will enhance our accountability and transparency, ultimately benefiting our clients by ensuring we deliver high-quality service consistently.
Preparing for Growth
Alice Jordan’s presentation on “Preparing Your People Agenda for Growth” provided further clarity on how we can evolve as an organisation. She outlined the four stages of organisational evolution: Entrepreneurial Edge, Emerging, Consolidating, and Established. Currently, Inflection Point finds itself between stages 2 and 3. We have a clear vision and a formalised structure, and we are actively documenting our operational processes.
Moving forward, our priority will be to solidify our people agenda by focusing on our culture and employee engagement. Initiatives like our Culture Club are essential for celebrating team members when they exemplify our values in client and colleague interactions. The Culture Club promotes healthy living, mindfulness, and runs fun competitions, all of which contribute to a positive workplace environment.
The Client Impact
By emphasising our people and culture, we are not just enhancing internal morale; we are also positioning ourselves to better serve our clients. Delivering high-quality service is at the core of what we do. This commitment will enable us to work collaboratively with clients to achieve business continuity, customer success, and tailor technology solutions that are fit for purpose, future-proof, and value-driven.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the insights gained from the We Run On EOS conference will guide us as we navigate the complexities of our organisational journey. With a clear focus on intentional culture and growth, Inflection Point is poised to make significant strides in delivering exceptional service, fostering a motivated team, and ultimately benefiting our clients.
Together, we will continue to embrace the EOS framework and the principles that will help us achieve our vision, fostering a culture that is not only intentional but also grounded in love, abundance, and the shared success of our clients and team members alike.
