Why you won't see our clients' logos

A client list is a target list. We'd rather lose a little social proof than hand an attacker a map of who to go after next.

The short version

Most IT providers have a wall of client logos. It's good marketing. It's also a published list of businesses that all trust the same supplier with their passwords, their email and their data.

We look after the systems our clients run on, so we take keeping them out of the spotlight as seriously as keeping them patched. That's why you won't find a client logo anywhere on this site.

The risk

What a logo wall gives an attacker

A target list

Every logo is a business that trusts one supplier with its systems. To an attacker, that's a shortlist: get into the supplier, or pretend to be it, and every name on the wall is in reach.

A believable story

“Hi, it's Inflection Point. We're moving your mailboxes tonight, can you approve this sign-in?” That message works far better when the sender knows you really are our client. A logo wall tells them.

A way in through us

IT providers hold the keys to many businesses at once, which is why attackers go after them. That's not a theory. In 2021, one attack on IT management software used by providers reached hundreds of their clients in a single weekend.

Governments agree. In May 2022 the UK's National Cyber Security Centre and its Five Eyes partners issued a joint warning that attackers are targeting managed service providers to reach the businesses they support.

What you'll see instead

Proof, without the exposure

Sectors, not logos

The marks on our homepage are the sectors our clients really work in, from renewables to legal. They show who we work with without saying which businesses, and where we have an industry page or a case study, they link to it.

Initials, not names

Our reviews are real and verified on Trustpilot, but on this site reviewers appear as initials, with their sector instead of their company.

Named only by choice

Our case studies and videos do name clients. Those clients chose to tell their story, and they decided what went in it.

If a message says it's from us

Hiding our client list makes us harder to impersonate, but it doesn't make it impossible. If you're a client and something claiming to be Inflection Point asks you to approve a sign-in, change bank details, install software or share a code, check before you act:

  • Don't use the phone number, link or reply address in the message itself.
  • Call us on a number you already have, or the one on this site: 0844 414 2611.
  • We will never ask you for your password or for a multi-factor code.

A quick call costs you two minutes. Getting it wrong can cost a great deal more. Want to know how protected you are? Start with our cyber security services.
